Michael’s Genuine Food & Drink is a showcase for the cuisine of Chef/Owner Michael Schwartz, with prices designed to encourage frequent dining. This unpretentious bistro seats 90 indoors and out, with another 14 seats at a handsome bar. Doubling as a casual neighborhood dining spot and a culinary destination, the bright, airy space in Miami’s evolving Design District showcases Schwartz’s trademark new American cuisine at prices designed to encourage frequent dining. Open daily for lunch and dinner, the menu is chock full of choices encouraging everything from a light bite to a multi-course feast. A quick glance at the menu and Michael's intentions for this restaurant are revealed. Notable is the frequency of the word homemade in the descriptions of dishes -- be it pasta, French fries or rabbit terrine. At the same time, Michael's takes advantage of the Chef’s decades-long relationships with winemakers to offer diners the opportunity to try a variety of wines at great value.

Solid Staple in the Design District! Miami super chef Michael Schwartz has created the perfect reprieve from a long day of shopping. Offering indoor, comfortable outdoor, and fabulous bar seating and bartenders (thanks Jen and George!). Michael's Genuine is not to be missed!

This restaurant has a great chill vibe, nice, and clean. Everything tastes good here. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my whole stay. The design was very spectacular as well as the restroom and the ambiance. Everyone dining here is in a good mood because they knew they are eating great food. Highly recommended!

Went for happy hour. The menu for lunch and happy hour is a bit small as far choices go. And everything took forever to come. Even oysters! How long can you possibly take for raw food? I love their flavors but the staff needs to get it together specially in a half empty restaurant

I would tell you from affordable to expensive. Especially if you visit from Mexico, the peso being at a disadvantage with the exchange rate. Plan to spend $ 50.00 to $ 100.00 USD (minimum), depending on what you order.

No they don't

It depends on what you order but lunch for two including a glass of wine for both usually runs around $50.
